January 23, 1928 edition of The Playgoer, this one being for A NIGHT IN SPAIN at Chicago's 4 Cohan's. This Chicago run of SPAIN is where Ted Healy later met and took on Larry Fine as a stooge (Mar. 24, 1928). Co-starring Healy, his stooges listed throughout the program are Shemp Howard, Sam 'Moody' Braun, Lou Warren and Bobby Pinkus. Act/Scene rundowns of the show and cast information appear over 8 pages.
Concurrent with SPAIN's Chicago run, Ted & Betty performed a late-night song & dance act at the Hotel Sherman's College Inn; this Playgoer contains a 1-page ad for that gig.
