The magazine's "Playboy After Hours" section, Shempmania, reports on Donaldsonville LA's 6th annual Shemp Festival, held on March 17, 1990.

(Celebrated for several years, the festival was held on March 17, on what was then believed to be Shemp's birthday.  Since then, the Shemp Howard family discovered his birth certificate which revealed March 11 as Shemp's actual birthdate.)
