Following the successful opening of THE EARL CARROLL VANITIES [OF 1925], and the good reviews given to stars Ted and Betty Healy, the Healys took out this "thank you" advertisement in this edition of Variety. Also included in this week's edition of the showbiz journal is its review of VANITIES.
Both Moe and Shemp had left Ted at this point, for their respective married lives. The comics employed by Ted as stooges in some comedy bits for this Broadway show were three performers under contract to Carroll... Lou Warren, Dave Chasen and Kenneth Lackey. Warren would remain with Ted as a stooge until March 1928.
