Actress, singer and dancer... but once she was cast as 'Lois Lane' for two Columbia "Superman" serials, SUPERMAN (1948) and ATOM MAN VS. SUPERMAN (1950), her legacy was ensured. Phyllis Coates was unable to reprise the role for TV after one season of THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, so Noel became 'Lois' again for 5 seasons 1953 - 1957.

Noel cameoed in the feature film SUPERMAN (1978) as Lois Lane's mother; serial 'Superman' Kirk Alyn played Mr. Lane. Ms. Neill had a featured guest role in SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006), as the dying, elderly wife of Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey).
