Featuring Shemp Howard (Solo)
17.7 min. (Short Subject)
The fleet's in, and the order of business in this Prohibition era comedy is to sneak into town with illegal liquor for a good time. Two sailors (George Givot and Charles Judels) do just that, and wind up involved with a vaudeville actress (Penny Singleton, billed under her real name of Dorothy McNulty) and her jealous boyfriend and partner. Hot on their trail is the Customs officer (Lionel Stander) they conned to get off the ship.
Shemp has a small role as a sailor who isn't as lucky getting by Stander.
Shemp was paid $25 for this brief appearance.
