Featuring Moe, Larry and Shemp
0 min. (Feature Film)
Unfilmed feature film script, featuring Moe, Larry and Shemp...
The Three Stooges are city laborers, forgotten heirs to the Haddock family fortune hidden in the southern hills of Turkey Ridge. After a probate lawyer informs them of their legacy, Moe, Larry & Shemp head south to Dixie to make their claim. But all they find is the broken-down Haddock homestead, and a long-standing feud with the McKay family. Plus... a devious lawyer and crooked land developer who are behind a plot to rob the Stooges and residents of Turkey Ridge of the fortune under their feet.
Elwood Ullman scripted a final draft of this feature film on August 12, 1948. Obviously, it was never produced. To date, no record of its submission or consideration at Columbia or any other studio exists. The only known copy of the script is on display at The Stoogeum.
A detailed, 3-part review and transcription of the script appears in The Three Stooges Journal # 120 (Winter 2006), 121 (Spring 2007) and 122 (Summer 2007).
